How to use?

LATISSE® solution should always be placed on the provided applicator and applied carefully across the skin of the upper eyelid margin at the base of the eyelashes.  LATISSE® solution should never be applied to the lower lid, in the eye, or as an eye drop. After 16 weeks, talk with your doctor about ongoing use.

Prepare

1. Once nightly, make sure your face is clean and makeup and contact lenses are removed.

2. Remove a sterile applicator from the tray. Then, while holding the applicator horizontally, place one drop of LATISSE® on the area of the applicator closest to the tip but not on the tip.

Apply

3. Immediately brush the applicator carefully along the skin at the base of the upper eyelashes (where the eyelashes meet your skin), going from the inner part of your lash line to the outer part.

4. Use a tissue to blot any excess solution that goes beyond the eyelid.

Repeat

5. Throw away the applicator. Each applicator should be used once.

6. Repeat the steps for the opposite eyelid with a new, sterile applicator.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How does Latisse solution work?

We do not know exactly how LATISSE® works; however, we believe it does so by increasing the growth cycle (anagen) phase of your eyelash hair cycle. Anagen is the growth phase of all hair. We believe that it increases the length of the anagen phase and the number of hairs in this growth phase.

How soon will I see results?

Lash growth is gradual while using LATISSE®. Some may start to notice longer lashes after about a month, and many should experience full results in 16 weeks. Individual results may vary. Just like it takes some time for LATISSE® to work, if use of LATISSE® is discontinued, eyelashes will return to their previous appearance over the course of several weeks to months. After 16 weeks, talk with your doctor about ongoing use.

How is Latisse solution different than other lash products that don't require a prescription?

LATISSE® is the first FDA-approved product to grow lashes longer, fuller, and darker for those who do not have enough lashes. It has been studied for safety and efficacy and is available only by prescription.

What is hypotrichosis?

Eyelash hypotrichosis is the medical name for having inadequate or not enough lashes. Eyelash hypotrichosis is defined as having lower than average length, thickness, and/or number of eyelashes.

Can LATISSE® harm my eyes?

LATISSE® is an ophthalmic solution. If any solution gets into the eye, it is not expected to cause harm. You do not need to rinse your eyes. LATISSE® is not an eye drop. DO NOT APPLY in your eye or to the lower lid.
